South Carolina NEVI Program Update

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has received approval from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on an updated 2025 EV Infrastructure Deployment Plan (NEVI Plan) in alignment with the interim final program guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) in August 2025. The updated 2025 NEVI Plan can be viewed here. SCDOT is currently working to evaluate their approach to the NEVI Program based on the interim final program guidance and will share updated program information on this website once available in the coming months. SC+EV and NEVI Program Implementation
The SC+EV initiative will position South Carolina for the future of electrified mobility through the creation of a reliable and accessible statewide network of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. SC+EV will develop and deploy charging equipment throughout South Carolina in support of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program.

The SC+EV initiative will implement a multi-year approach to develop a convenient, affordable, and reliable statewide EV charging network.
The goals of SC+EV are to:
Enhance mobility for EV owners and operators in South Carolina
Accelerate economic development and industry in South Carolina
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will lead the implementation of South Carolina's allotment of the NEVI Program Implementation.
